During an inspection, a qualified electrician tests and checks many parts of your electrical system, including:
- Visual inspection of circuits, labels, and overall condition
- Prospective short circuit tests
- Bonding to sockets, water pipes, and light points
- Elevated voltage on the neutral
- Every socket outlet
- Earth loop and earth leakage tests
Only after all tests are completed can a report be compiled, detailing any non-compliance issues, along with a quotation for repairs if needed. Once everything meets the required standards, the valid COC can be issued.
